Jim studied at multiple domestic and foreign colleges and universities. He began his electrical engineering education at Georgia Institute of Technology (Georgia Tech). He reinforcied his mathematics at Eastern Florida State College. In addition he studied the Russian language before moving to the Korean language. Jim traveled abroad to the University of Maryland in Seoul, Korea and later transfered to Yonsei University to pursue an intensive Korean language program. The Korean program led to the study of Chinese Medicine which he pursued at Kyung Hee University. Returning to the United States, he completed his electrical engineering roots at Oklahoma State University (OSU) and began work as an electrical engineer in space related communication systems. He came back to study mathematics at Santa Clara University (SCU). He earned the State of California Professional Engineer (P.E.) license. He is an active amateur radio enthusiast with Extra Class license as KB6NRD. He published papers in military journals detailing related microwave technologies. Jim has earned awards from Ford, Loral, Lockheed-Martin, Globalstar, and Space System Loral. Jim continues his life long learning. |
